Day Three, with glee

Hello everyone.

Today we woke up at 9am with a pleasant surprise (That’s like 4pm Singapore time by the way). We were given free tickets to the spectator boat, Explorer

For all of you who didn’t understand my previous sentence, haha basically aspectator boat is yacht that allows its passengers to have a closer look of the live action by circling around the waters during the course of the race.

(You can't see it from here, but we were secretly pleased that the our flag read “Ocean Volvo Race: VIP”. Okay not such a secret anymore.)

Eric, obviously enjoying the sun, sea and wind.

Hello one of the Ericssons.

The sun was unusually bright today :\

It was very surreal experience. After 2 days of cheering by the railings of the port, it was very amazing for us to be riding on the same waves as the teams. We were thisclose to the Green Dragon :D

SAY HI TO NEW PERSPECTIVES HURHUR.

A race marshall.

Teams starting off for the in-port racing.

We thought that the Puma team's yacht looked really cool :D

Introducing Telefonica and Delta Lloyd

And this is Telefonica and one of the Ericssons

The other spectator boats floating around with us.

Another street mascot we've met after returning onshore. Our legs were jellyish.

We took off our shoes, sat by the side of the yacht, took photos of the race, spotted sea creatures (JELLYFISH!), had light snacks, got splashed by the waves, got our fair share of sunburns, chatted with our fellow spectators and waved to any passing boat. Marshalls, racers, fellow spectator boats, ski boats, we waved at everyone :D

Oh and sometime during the race, Vani pointed at one of the Ericsson teams and said, “Hey look, they’re grinding.”

Grinding is a technique used by sailors when they are changing the direction of the yacht. If you want a description on how it looks like, err to us newbies it’s like people cycling with their hands. Non-stop.

So anyway, it was like..

Vani: Hey look, they’re grinding!

Larry: Who?!

HAHAHAHHAHAHAA

And tonight, we decided to save some money by having a hearty home cooked meal.

Healthy, fun, and extremely entertaining.

(Read: Messy and Unhygienic)

We also made sure that Larry and Eric kept the milk and butter away from the freezer this time.

P.S

The mysterious mineral water bottle that was outside the girl's apartment changed position just before dinner. Yesterday it was at the right side of our doorstep. Now its balancing precariously on the horizontal beam across the 2nd level.

(We would love to take it down to prevent a fatal killer-litter accident but please understand that we asians have shorter hands and the bottle really is in the middle of the 2.5m long beam.)

Scary :\

OMM,

Wyncy
