Day 4- Town Tour
HI ALLLLLLL!!! ![]() The air was exceptionally fresh and the weather was slightly sweltering, like Singapore, but less humid. Like a breezy kind of sunny. I like. :D Larry feels happy and slightly girly that morning due to the good weather and decided to put on Mallory's waist belt for fun. ![]() Sexy ah. I also want to try. ![]() ![]() We were taken to the bus station by Kieran, one of the organisers, to check our bus routes then we proceeded to Dunnes (its our favourite store btw) to buy 5 loaves of bread. We were quite bewildered by the purchase of so many loaves of bread but Kieran didn't tell us why. So we just cuddled the loaves and trod down the streets of Eyres Square like retards. The keyword is 'cuddled', so our bread was squashed into the shape of dunnoe what by the time we reached our destination. LOL. ![]() So we walked a looooooonnggg distance (NOTE: LONG.... AND WALKING IS OUR ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORT FOR THIS ENTIRE WEEK AT GALWAY.) before we reached a canal. Kieran's motive for the bread is uncovered when we saw this at the canal. . . . . . . ![]() OMM PRETTY OR NOT. This is my first time seeing such a huge flock of swans. Exciting! And we're suppose to feed the swans with the bread. There were also ducks and pigeons waiting to be fed. ![]() ![]() These birds are free to roam about and have no threats of being exterminated and always have suaku tourist like us feeding them, so they are pretty fat and healthy, unlike those skinny and pitiful ones in Singapore. HAHA. And I guess there is no penalty for feeding the birds here at Ireland. ![]() Suaku tourist at work. ![]() Like photoshop clone tool hor. HAHA. ![]() We finished the 5 loaves in the span of like an hour? I hope they don't die of over-eating. There were stupid seagulls which would steal the swans' food, stupid bully. ![]() We went around the area to look at the churches and they are quite breathtaking. See! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After that we went for lunch at this roadside cafe, Trisha's. They sell pretty good Paninis! FYI, Paninis look like this ![]() It is like grilled sandwich and it is quite palatable. I like. :D I had Cajun Chicken Panini. I think Panini is like a staple food here? HAHA, every cafe seems to have Panini in its menu. It's like a highly popular food in Europe. Anyway, after our inexpensive and delicious lunch, we proceeded to the Race Village to report to the officials from LOOKWEST. We were supposed to do voluntary work for Lookwest to give out flyers and promote this photo competition organised inconjunction with the race. We urged people to upload their pictures taken during the festival to http://pix.ie/ and the organisors are aiming to set the record for the most number of pictures uploaded for a single event. It was quite tiring, especially when we're under the hot sun (that's where we get our sunburns from, haha). We were separated into 2 groups, the guys remained in the race village, while the girls went over to Salthill, near the beach to distribute the flyers. Irish people are really friendly! Like they would acknowledge our presence and say thankyou even if they are not interested to receive our flyers. HAHA, lovely. ![]() With the geen dragon mascot while on duty. Basically that is about it for Day 4 and we are enjoying our days at Ireland more and more! See you guys on our next post! Bye bye! With love from the other side of the planet, Eric
